Mother's Day in Switzerland

We have had the opportunity to teach Taby and James the temple prep lessons for the past couple months.  They went to high school together in Hawaii, and joined the church last year, separately, then got together lat year.  They have spent their honeymoon living in Italy.  James was recently made the Branch Mission Leader in Vicenza. They are great at inviting single servicemen over for fun and food, and we have high hopes for the missionary work to grow in leaps with James leadership.  Taby will spent the next couple months building the kingdom with their first baby due in October.  We were thrilled to join them and James parents, that came over for the event at the Swiss Temple.  James father is scheduled to go back to Iraq in 3 weeks, and they were sealed during the past year.  So we had two sealing's, James and Taby and James to his parents. Afterward's we joined a couple, the Grassli's, for a tour of Bern, shopping and lunch.  They were perfect hosts. Brother Grassli was raised in Switzerland, so they are loving their Outreach mission with the Young Adults of the area.  

On our trip home, while driving through the Swiss mountains, we hit a thunderstorm, lightning and all the effects.  The crowning element to the scene was the Tabernacle choir singing on one of our two CD's "How Great Thou Art".  Magic moment, one we will remember for many more Mother's Day's.  If your missing your family, that is the best "fill in" I can imagine.  We do have amazing children and wonderful grandchildren, and  they are our greatest blessing.  It was great to be there for  that blessing starting for Taby and James.
